A vessel’s crew and skipper are at risk of suffering from fatigue. Understand how fatigued you are and what you can do about it.

Maritime New Zealand has produced two resources to help a vessel’s crew and skipper understand and manage fatigue:

The Epworth Sleepiness Scale

The Epworth Sleepiness Scale is an on-line questionnaire which will help you decide if you have a sleep problem. Sleep clinics commonly use this scale. Rate your sleepiness in eight situations (as sleepiness depends to some extent on the situation).
