1. Forum Samoa II
On 3 September, following a request from the Samoan Government, four National Response Team members and an MNZ nautical expert flew to Samoa to respond to an oil spill threat in Apia Harbour.

2. Montara well head platform spill
MPRS planning and training manager Rob Service and MNZ safety auditor Christiaan Moss recently flew to Australia to provide support in the response to an oil spill in the Timor Sea.

3. Regional council workshop
Around 50 people attended the annual regional council workshop held in Auckland in August.

4. Harbour Buster
MPRS has recently taken delivery of its latest piece of oil spill response equipment.

6. National Response Team media workshop
A two-day workshop held at MNZ in September brought together the media and community relations members of the National Response Team.
