Marine Protection Rules 101B: Surveys & Inspections – noxious liquid substances carried in bulk

Part 101B contains requirements for initial and periodic surveys of tankers carrying noxious liquid substances in bulk to verify compliance with the construction and equipment requirements set out in Part 141.

Part 101B gives effect to Regulation 8 of Annex II of MARPOL 73/78.

Part 101B of the marine protection rules applies to:

  • tankers carrying noxious liquid substances in bulk

  • New Zealand ships and to warships and other ships of the New Zealand Defence Force.
