Notes

¹ These training providers are approved by the Director to issue ancillary certificates of proficiency.

² Seafarers attending ancillary refresher courses must provide the training provider with a company letter(s) confirming:

they have actively participated in the mandatory abandon ship and fire drills (and fast rescue boat drills, if applicable) while completing
approved seagoing service performing functions appropriate to the certificate they hold, for a period of at least:
- 12 months in total during the preceding 5 years, or;
- 3 months in total during the preceding 6 months.

You must have the relevant approved seagoing service and evidence of drills or you will be required to complete the full STCW approved ancillary course.
