36th America’s Cup
‘Maritime NZ is on-board for the America’s Cup’
Maritime NZ is in planning mode for the next America’s Cup to be held in Auckland in 2020/2021.
As New Zealand’s national regulatory, compliance and response agency for the maritime sector, Maritime NZ’s role is to ensure that all maritime activities, including the America’s Cup are carried out safely, securely and with minimal impact on the environment. A Maritime NZ programme manager has therefore been appointed to work closely with partner agencies, including the local maritime regulator – the Auckland Harbour Master – to deliver another successful America’s Cup event.
You can contact the programme manager with any questions you may have about the project by emailing: firstname.lastname@example.org.

World Maritime Day
Thursday 26 September 2019
Every year the International Maritime Organisation (IMO) celebrates World Maritime Day. Each World Maritime Day focuses on a theme – emphasising an aspect of the IMO’s work.
The World Maritime Day theme for the year is “Empowering Women in the Maritime Community”.
This provides an opportunity to raise awareness of the importance of gender equality, in line with the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals, and to highlight the important - yet under utilised - contribution of women within the maritime sector.
