We are a risk-based regulator focused on preventing harm across the maritime domain.
Through our organisational strategy, Te Korowai o Kaitiakitanga – The Cloak of Stewardship, we are on a multi-year journey to become a more efficient and effective regulator. As a kaitiaki (guardian) of Aotearoa New Zealand’s ports, oceans and waterways, we work to deliver Safe, Secure, Clean and Sustainable outcomes for New Zealanders.
