Our organisation
As a kaitiaki (guardian) of Aotearoa New Zealand’s ports, oceans and waterways, Maritime NZ works to deliver Safe, Secure, Clean and Sustainable outcomes for New Zealanders. We are on a multi-year journey working towards becoming an increasingly successful regulator.

Our Ministers and Governance
As a Crown entity, Maritime NZ’s governance and management are separate. Governance responsibilities are overseen by a Board with the Chairperson reporting to Ministers.
