Training record books

Some seafarer certificates require you to complete a training record book (sometimes known as TRB) as part of the required training.

Maritime NZ training records books have been developed to ensure NZ trainees have competencies, skills and experience required to meet education standards and international obligations. Other training record books have also been approved by the Director of MNZ for specific certificates.

The following training record books are currently available:

  • Skipper Restricted Limits (SRL)
  • Skipper Restricted Limits (SRL) endorsed to less than 500 gross tonnage
