How to re-register your Part B registration

What you need to do

To re‑register an expired ship registration, you must send an email to Maritime NZ at [email protected]

In your email, tell us:

  • the name of the ship and its registration number
  • that you want to re‑register the ship and that none of the details on the previous certificate of registration have changed
  • any updated contact details, such as street address, postal address, phone numbers, and email address, if they have changed since your last registration
  • the address you would like us to send the new certificate of registration to.

When we receive your email, we will:

  • send you an invoice with a reference number and instructions explaining how to pay
  • once we receive your payment, re‑register the ship and send your new certificate of registration to you by courier.
