How to renew a current Part B registration

To renew, you do not need to complete a new application form. Email Maritime NZ with the following details

  • the name of the ship and its registration number
  • a statement that you want to renew the registration and that none of the details on the previous certificate of registration have changed, except your address (if it has changed)
  • any updated contact details, such as street address, postal address, phone numbers, and email address
  • the address you would like us to send the new certificate of registration to.

Once we receive your email, we will:

  • send you an invoice with a reference number and payment instructions
  • renew your registration for 5 years from the current expiry date once payment is received
  • send your new certificate of registration by courier.
